ASSISTANCE DOGS NI QUIZ NIGHT

Janette’s Story

Evolution

I first came across ADNI at Forestside shopping centre, Belfast, approximately 4 years ago.

I was drawn towards the beautiful Labrador dogs wearing purple training jackets. Impressed with the aims and vision of the charity, a visit to a training session, and after family discussions, saw the arrival of a beautiful Fox Red Labrador joining our family.

Although I am the main trainer this is a family commitment.

I so much enjoy the formal training, and the socialising of the pups and they go with us wherever we go; church, work, restaurants, coffee shops, shopping centres and family outings.

Being part of ADNI has had a positive impact on us as a family, skills have been learned and special friendships made with parents and other puppy fosterers.

But most of all we have been privileged to see three beautiful dogs placed and making such a difference in the lives of children and families.

Number four pup has now arrived so the journey begins all over again.

Every day is a school day and I love it!
